Series Summary

The Riding The Parenting Roller Coaster Series eventuated out of workshops run by myself (Sean Healy) and Dr Rosie Saxton. We are both passionate about helping parents provide good foundational skills for developing resilient, healthily esteemed children.

The type of start children get greatly impacts their inter personal skills later in life. I am delighted to have had the opportunity to collaborate with Dr Rosie on this project.

Episode Summary

Emotional neglect is more about what didn’t happen to support us as children and what we didn’t get that we may have needed. This can include effective emotional management, support through trauma and sometimes just help understanding the world correctly.

Consistent emotional neglect can cause us to in advertently set the bar low in our expectation around the treatment we receive from others.
