The family is a system in which each individual is a part. In order to maintain the health of the family system in general we can assume certain roles in order to up hold certain values that are vital to maintain the family system. These roles can play out both in healthy and unhealthy ways depending on the overall wellbeing of our family system.

Through identifying and understanding these roles we can guide children effectively towards developing as their own resilient and authentic selves. This is a really powerful episode for understanding that everyone in the family is interconnected and what happens to one affects all, directly or indirectly.
